DEATHCULT666

DeathCult666 was a keyboard with vocals project creating industrial black metal terror from Hell, and the direct predecessor of DeathCult.

In late June 1998 Danny got the idea of composing some industrial black noise with lyrics about Hell. Initially the project's name was Ars Moriendi (taken from the medieval texts 'the art of dying' about 'dying in a pious way'), but this changed to Cult666. After having recorded songs in June, July and September 1998 and mixed in November, in June 1999 the project was picked up again as DeathCult666. The new song One Night In Hell was finished summer 1999 and sent to industrial/electronics label New Darkness Recordings in Hillegom, that released it on the compilation cd Bulb Area 51 V 2.0 in October 1999. Soon after DeathCult666 continued as the black metal one-man band DeathCult (although it would take a while before this shortened name was adapted).
